Hi, I’m Fernanda — and I have been outnumbered by pets for most of my adult life.
Right now I share my Austin apartment with a three-year-old golden retriever named Biscuit and two cats, Mango and Fig, who have never once agreed on anything. Between the fur on every surface, the vet appointments, and the ongoing negotiation over who gets the sunny spot on the couch, I have learned a lot about what actually works in day-to-day pet care — and what is just expensive noise.
PawLog exists because I could not find a pet blog that talked to me like a normal person. Most of them either read like a veterinary textbook or feel like an ad for overpriced products. I wanted something honest, practical, and written by someone who has actually cleaned up a 2am cat hairball while half asleep.
Everything here comes from real experience — things I have tried with my own animals, advice from vets I trust, and years of learning from my mistakes. I cover dogs, cats, health, training, food, and everything in between.
